Madison County church hosts open house | News

MADISON COUNTY, MS (WLBT)- A new Madison County church opened its doors to fill a need in the community.
Madison Heights Church, a member of the Presbyterian Church of America, held an open house Sunday afternoon.
Church leaders say it took eight months to build the place of worship.
The facility is the church's first permanent building since it was founded in 2006.
"There's tremendous growth out here and there's not a whole lot of churches per capita. When you look at our denomination, particularly, there's nothing out this way. It's seems like from the loop onward we've got it pretty well covered but there was nothing out in this area to keep up with the population growth," explained Assistant Pastor Randy Rhea.
The church is located on Bozeman Road, just north of Madison.
