Mississippi's sales tax holiday underway | News

RIDGELAND, MS (WLBT)- Mississippi's annual sales tax weekend is in full effect.

Shoppers can take advantage of a sales break on clothing and footwear all day Friday and Saturday until midnight.

Items not included in the tax holiday include athletic or recreational gear, jewelry, handbags, wallets and watches. School supplies and computers are also not eligible for the tax break.

Each item that is eligible for the tax break must cost less than $100.

This list from the Mississippi Department of Revenue goes into more detail about eligible and ineligible items that are on sale this weekend.
