Madison clean-up day, prescription drug take back event Saturday
A clean-up day and prescription drug take back event is coming up Saturday in the Tulane University parking lot.

Recycling will be available from 10 a.m. to noon, and prescription drug drop off will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to the Madison Police Department Facebook.

Shred-It will also be on site for citizens and businesses to bring up to five small bags of paper to be shredded.

New case of West Nile virus reported in Madison Co.

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Monday, the Mississippi Department of Health reported 12 new human West Nile virus cases, including one in Madison County. Twenty-four cases of WNV and one death have been reported in Madison County so far this year.

Across the state, a record 213 cases of West Nile virus and five deaths have been reported this year.
