Recycling will be available from 10 a.m. to noon, and prescription drug drop off will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to the Madison Police Department Facebook.

Shred-It will also be on site for citizens and businesses to bring up to five small bags of paper to be shredded.

The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks Fisheries Bureau will host a pond management workship Tuesday in Madison County.

The workshop will be held in the Hunter Education Building at the MDWFP Regional Office located at 506 Highway 43 South near Canton at 6:30 p.m.

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Monday, the Mississippi Department of Health reported 14 new human West Nile virus cases, including one in Madison County. Twenty-three cases of WNV  and one death have been reported in Madison County so far this year.

Across the state, a record 200 cases of West Nile virus and five deaths have been reported this year.
