Germantown Mavericks hit the field for the first time
GLUCKSTADT, MS (WLBT) - For the first time, cleats will hit the new football field at Germantown High School in Gluckstadt.
The Germantown Mavericks will go helmet-to-helmet with the Yazoo City Indians at 7:30 p.m. Before kick off there will be a special dedication ceremony with a few surprises.
The new field holds 3,000 spectators and a standing room only crowd is expected for the first game.
The maverick's mascot -- one-year-old Pablo the horse -- is also getting ready for his debut.
