MRA gets fit, $500 | Community Spirit

For 10 weeks this summer, 200 local educators trained with Paul Lacoste and his coaches and lost 3,073 pounds.

Madison-Ridgeland Academy teacher LeeAnn May was the week two challenge winner of the Paul Lacoste Sports Fit 4 Teaching Challenge. May won a $500 grant to be used for MRA's fitness and wellness program.

The money was presented to eight winning teachers during special pep rallies at each school.

During the challenge, the teachers learned proper nutrition and exercise techniques. The purpose of Paul Lacoste Sports Fit 4 Teaching Challenge is to give teachers the tools they need to set great examples for their students.
