Additional Information
Having grown up in Brookhaven, MS, Don Jacobs left home at the age 19 for a summer job in Europe. This "Summer Job" evolved into a lengthy stay which eventually landed him at Kunstschule Westend für Grafik und Design, a reknowned art academy in Frankfurt, Germany where he received his degree in Graphic Design. After nearly a decade in Europe, Jacobs returned to his roots in the deep south in 1980 and began his career as a graphic artist. Eventually settling in Jackson, MS, as Art Director for a local TV station, he became ready for a change in 1985 and went out on his own as a full-time artist, specializing in faux finishes, murals and his own personal art.
